Admission

Age requirements for the school:

P-2.5:   2 years old before May 1st of the current school year and toilet trained by the first day of school.  A short, 1-month grace/adjustment period will be allowed for toilet training, but only when the child is wearing training pants (pull-ups).  If after a reasonable period of time the child is not toilet trained, we reserve the right to withdraw the student.  The student may be placed on the waiting list until he/she has successfully completed toilet training.

P-3:   3 years old before September 1st of the current school year and completely toilet trained. No exceptions with toilet training.

P-4:   4 years old before September 1st of the current school year.

Kindergarten: 5 years old before September 1st of the current school year.

First Grade: 6 years old before September 1st of the current school year.

Second Grade: 7 years old before September 1st of the current school year.

Third Grade: 8 years old before September 1st of the current school year.

Fourth Grade: 9 years old before September 1st of the current school year.

Fifth Grade: 10 years old before September 1st of the current school year.

All immunization forms and health forms must be current and completed for each child.  No child will be admitted to class on the first day of school without these forms, which are kept on file in the school office.

New students will take an assessment for the elementary school.

Children who exhibit learning problems, behavioral problems, and/or require special attention will be evaluated by a committee. This committee will determine whether our school can sufficiently meet the child’s academic and behavioral needs and whether or not it would be prudent for the child to remain at FCS or return the following year.  FCS reserves the right to dismiss any student who does not abide by the school’s vision and standards of conduct.
